Gerd Häfner

Gerd Häfner (born February 16, 1960 in Osterburken ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

Häfner studied Roman Catholic theology at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg . He received his doctorate there in 1993 and completed his habilitation as assistant to Lorenz Oberlinner in 1998. Häfner has been Professor of Introductory Biblical Studies at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich since 2002 . He is a member of the editorial team of the Munich Theological Journal (MThZ) .
