The Munich Theological Journal (MThZ) is a German-language specialist journal for the entire field of Catholic theology.

history

The magazine has been published four times a year since January 1950, and has been published by EOS-Verlag, Erzabtei St. Ottilien , St. Ottilien since 1985 . The MThZ was previously published by Zink-Verlag, Munich, then by the publishing house of the Münchener Theologische Zeitschrift, Munich, then by Hueber-Verlag, Munich until 1978, and from 1979 to 1984 by Pattloch, Aschaffenburg. Michael Schmaus and Wilhelm Keilbach were among the first publishers .

Content and Editing

The Catholic-Theological Faculty of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität publishes the magazine and makes the tables of contents of the previous years available online. The contributions of the older years are completely freely available via Open Access in the university library of the LMU Munich.

Editorial team

The editorial team includes Winfried Haunerland (main editor ), Franz Xaver Bischof , Gerd Häfner , Bertram Stubenrauch , Martin Thurner . Martin Fischer works as an employee.
