Gerd Mietzel

Gerd Mietzel (born February 19, 1936 in Lübeck ) is a German psychologist and professor emeritus for educational psychology and developmental psychology at the University of Duisburg .

Life

Mietzel studied psychology and education. In 1965 he was with the work "The attitude of high school as a primary school teacher Occupation: A psychological study of the problem of primary school teacher shortage" at the University of Kiel doctorate . From 1970 until his retirement he was a full professor for developmental psychology and educational psychology at the University of Duisburg.

For more than three decades, he has offered an introduction to psychology within the Institute for Vocational and Continuing Education , supported by his work Paths into Psychology .
