Gerda Staniek
Gerda Staniek (born Schilling; born February 8, 1925 ) is a former Austrian javelin thrower .
In 1947 she won silver at the International University Games , and in 1948 she was ninth at the Olympic Games in London .
At the Olympic Games in 1952 , she failed to qualify for a valid attempt.
In 1951 and 1953 she was Austrian champion. She set her personal best of 42.32 m on June 29, 1947 in Vienna .
