Gergana Kirilova

Gergana Kirilowa (born June 18, 1972 ) is a former Bulgarian weightlifter .

Career

She won the silver medal in the class up to 59 kg at the 1993 World Championships . Also in 1994 and 1995 she was runner-up in the world champion, in 1995 in the class up to 64 kg. In 2002 she won bronze. In 1994, 1996, 1998 and 2004 she was European Champion, in 1990 and 2003 she was second and in 1999, 2002 and 2005 third. Shortly before the 2008 Olympic Games, she was tested positive for metandienone in a doping control and banned for four years.
