Gerhard Caspar Bigeleben

Gerhard Caspar Bigeleben (* 1701 in Menden ; † October 26, 1780 in Werl ) was a secret councilor from the Electorate of Cologne and an official of the ecclesiastical court in Werl .

He came from the later ennobled Bigeleben family who also owned the Scheidingen estate. His father was Johann Caspar (von) Biegeleben, councilor in Menden.

He became a clergyman and also studied law . Bigeleben was a scholar of the St. Moritz Collegiate Foundation in Münster and the capitular of the Meschede Monastery .

As the official of the ecclesiastical court court for the Duchy of Westphalia in Werl, he presided over the most important court in the duchy.
