Gerhard Czerwensky (born September 25, 1920 in Hindenburg ; † February 26, 2003 in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe ) was a German business journalist.

Career

Gerhard Czerwensky completed his economic studies in Vienna and Freiburg with a doctorate from the Nestor of German Economics Adolf Weber. He earned his first journalistic spurs with the famous "Neue Zeitung" published by the Americans after 1945. He later worked for a long time ( 1957 to 1969) as the Frankfurt correspondent for the Süddeutsche Zeitung, before shaping the face of the Platow letter for almost two decades and turning it into one of the leading business information services.

At the stately age of 68, he took the chance again and, as editor-in-chief and publisher, enriched the "Czerwensky intern" founded by his daughter Cornelia Czerwensky in 1988 with his revelations, be it the air bookings of the real estate tycoon Schneider or the loan carousel in Balsam Procedo- Scandal or the uncovering of cum / ex transactions on the stock exchange, which are still preoccupying the courts today. In addition to the information service, which appears 3 times a week, the publisher's program also includes the annual "Czerwensky Forecast", which, based on its own economic studies, explored the potential on the stock, bond and real estate markets for the coming year. Cornelia Czerwensky sold her publishing house in 2001 to the news agency vwd, for which she continued to work as managing director and editor-in-chief.
