Gerhard Degner

Gerhard Degner (born January 22, 1960 ) is a German lawyer. From 2013 to 2018 he was police chief of the Police Department Saxony-Anhalt East in Dessau-Roßlau .

Life

Degner, a trained lawyer, joined the state service of Saxony-Anhalt on November 1, 1991 . From 1991 to 1996 he worked as a department head in the then district government or the regional council Halle (Saale) and was then head of the administration department in the Halle police department and the Magdeburg police department . In 2007 he was appointed head of the administrative staff of the future police department of Saxony-Anhalt South .

From 2008 to 2011 he acted as head of the administration department in the police department of Saxony-Anhalt East. He then went to the Police Department of Saxony-Anhalt South for five months in the same position and was then seconded to the Police Department of Saxony-Anhalt North as head of the administration department until December 2013.

On December 16, 2013, the Ministry of the Interior announced its immediate deployment as the new President of the Saxony-Anhalt East Police Department. He replaced Michael Schulze .

On July 1, 2018, he moved to Magdeburg in the development staff for the new Police Inspection Central Services. On September 5, 2018, he went to the state school office in Halle as deputy director.
