Gerhard E. Ortner

Gerhard Erich Ortner (born September 18, 1940 in Graz ) is a German economist .

Life

He studied economics, law and education. In 1966 he joined the student association K.Ö.HV Mercuria Vienna in the ÖCV . He graduated from Dr. rer. comm. (The use of digital EDP machines as a complex economic optimal design problem) at the Vienna University of Economics and Business , 1971 Dr. rer. soc. oec. ibid (The training of executives and junior executives of economic companies) and 1973 habilitation at the University of Paderborn . He became an honorary professor at the Free University of Berlin in 1985 and an adjunct professor at the Distance University in Hagen in 1989 . In 2006 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon.
