Gerhard Fischerauer

Gerhard Fischerauer (born April 9, 1963 in Munich ) is a German engineering scientist and university professor.

Education and activity

After graduating from high school, he studied at the Technical University of Munich and the University of Chicago, among others . He is chair of the measurement and control technology department at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Bayreuth .

His field of activity includes a .:

  • Sensor elements and microsystems based on thin-film technology, especially with piezoelectric materials (surface acoustic wave [SAW] technology)
  • Electrical sensor control and signal transmission
  • High frequency and sensor system technology, problems of electromagnetic compatibility
  • Modeling of complex systems and microsystems, signal processing

Since 2008 he has been a member of the advisory board of the magazine "tm - Technisches Messen" ( De Gruyter ).
