Gerhard Gemke

Gerhard Gemke (born January 5, 1962 in Paderborn ) is a German musician and author .

Life

Gemke studied piano and flute at the Detmold Music Academy . During his studies he worked as a theater musician, composer, cabaret artist and piano accompanist. He works as a musician and composer in various independent productions, teaches piano at the Paderborn Municipal Music School and writes books for children, young people and adults.

In addition to compositions for the piano and other line-ups as well as short stories and song texts , Bresel thrillers were created for young people from the age of 11. Their second volume, The Wrong Order, was a book tip from the Bavarian Teachers' Association (BLLV) as "particularly recommended" for school reading in the 7th and 8th grades. In 2015, Goodbye Ruby Tuesday was published , a thriller for adults that Gerhard Gemke published under the pseudonym TS Freytag.
