Gerhard Hartmann (born March 19, 1950 in Würzburg ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Gerhard Hartmann attended the Reichenberg elementary school and the Würzburg vocational school. After completing his second education, he became a state-certified construction technician. He worked in the area of ​​planning and construction management in civil engineering, then in sales and support for construction software as well as in sales for construction materials at Henkel KGaA and in sales for binders at Heidelberger Zement AG . In 1974 Hartmann co-founded the Reichenberg youth center.

In 1972 Hartmann joined the SPD. He was parliamentary group leader in the market town council of Reichenberg and there from 1984 to 1996 second mayor. From 1998 to 2003 Hartmann sat in the Bavarian state parliament .
