Gerhard Hausladen

Gerhard Hausladen (* 1947 in Munich ) is a German mechanical engineer and until 2013 was Professor of Building Climatology and Building Services at the Technical University of Munich .

Career

From 1967 to 1972 Hausladen initially studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich and from 1972 to 1980 worked as a research assistant at the chair for building services and building physics at the Technical University of Munich. He received his doctorate in 1980 and then worked from 1980 to 1985 as the technical director of a medium-sized industrial company. In the following year he founded an engineering office for building services, building physics and energy technology in Kirchheim near Munich . At the University of Kassel he was professor for technical building equipment from 1992 to 2001, in 1998 he co-founded the Center for Environmentally Conscious Building at the University of Kassel and was on the board from the year it was founded until he moved to the Technical University of Munich. From 2001 to 2013 he taught as a professor at the chair for building air conditioning and building services at the Technical University of Munich. Since 2007 he has been chairman of ClimaDesign e. V.
