Gerhard Kisters

Gerhard Kisters (born August 3, 1906 in Essen , † February 2, 1996 in Mönchengladbach ) was a German administrative officer and politician ( CDU ).

Life

Gerhard Kisters had two older siblings. Theodor Kisters and Mathilde. After graduating from elementary school, he first completed a commercial apprenticeship. He then attended the Higher Naval College for Administration and Economics as well as the municipal administration and savings bank school. In 1924 he joined the Reichsmarine as a professional soldier . He was accepted into the Navy in 1935 , took part in the Second World War as a soldier from 1939 to 1945 and was most recently appointed Corvette Captain of the Reserve. Towards the end of the war he was the battery chief of a naval flak division.

After the end of the war, Kisters initially worked as a physical education teacher. In 1946 he joined the municipal administration of the city of Rheydt and, as city inspector, was head of the local expellees office. From 1962 to 1965 he acted as the deputy federal chairman of the Association of German Soldiers and as vice-president of the Protection Association of Displaced State Servants .

Kisters had been a member of the CDU since 1957. He was a member of the German Bundestag from September 21, 1959, when he replaced the retired MP Fritz Berendsen , until 1961. He was drawn into parliament via the state list of the CDU North Rhine-Westphalia . From October 1959 was in the Bundestag member of the budget committee.
