Gerhard Lenz (journalist)

Gerhard Lenz (born October 5, 1929 in Berlin ; † July 27, 2010 there ) was a German journalist and former television presenter.

Life

Gerhard Lenz began his professional career at the Berliner Zeitung as a volunteer and editor . In 1959 he switched to the Sender Free Berlin (SFB). He worked there in various editorial offices. Gerhard Lenz became famous for his moderation of the Berliner Abendschau from 1967 to 1992. He was also a member of the German Journalists Association Berlin e. V. Gerhard Lenz has a daughter together with the Berlin dance teacher Monika Keller. According to the evening show presenter Sascha Hingst , he died of the late effects of an operation .
