Sascha Hingst (born October 16, 1971 in East Berlin ) is a German television presenter .

Life

Hingst graduated in 1990 his Abitur at the Thomas School in Leipzig and then began his studies of law at the University of Heidelberg . In 1992 he made his first experiences with the media through radio play productions for a radio station. From 1993 he worked as a reporter for MDR and then as a freelance reporter for SWF in Mainz and Arte in Strasbourg . In 1998 Sascha Hingst passed the state examination. He had been employed at HR since 1999 , initially for almost three years in the Wiesbaden State Parliament studio , and from October 2001 at the Hessenschau . On September 10, 2007, Hingst took over the moderation of the Berliner Abendschau , succeeding Friedrich Moll , who has moderated the main news program of the SFB since 1990 and of the rbb since 2003 . In the transition phase, Hingst moderated the Hessenschau on hr-fernsehen for a while, alternating every two weeks .

On November 20, 2015, Sascha Hingst was awarded the Bremen TV Prize in the “Best Presenter” category.

Since December 21, 2017 he has hosted the quiz show Every Answer Counts .

On January 2, 2018, Hingst and Jessy Wellmer took over the moderation of the ARD midday magazine , the editorial team of which moved from Munich to Berlin .

On September 1, 2019, Hingst moderated the state elections in Brandenburg and Saxony in the first together with Jörg Schönenborn and Wiebke Binder .
