Wiebke Binder (born August 19, 1980 in Cuxhaven ) is a German television and radio presenter for Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR).

Life

Binder was born in Cuxhaven and grew up as a child with her three siblings on the North Sea . For the study of journalism , English literature and German studies she went in 1999 to Leipzig . At the same time, she worked for several years as a journalist at the student local radio station Mephisto 97.6 , at the BBC World Service and as a trainee at Energy Sachsen . Meanwhile, she studied from September 2001 to July 2002 at the University of Sussex in England .

In 2008 she went to MDR, where she initially worked as a moderator / editor at MDR Jump from January 2008 to December 2009 and worked as an author for MDR Figaro . From 2010 she was on the microphone for the youth radio MDR Sputnik and moderated the morning show SPUTNIKer am Morgen from January 2010 to November 2014 . On television she worked for the MDR, among other things, as a presenter of the SPUTNIK festival summer, stood in front of the camera several times for “artour special” and reported for the news magazine Sachsenspiegel . Binder has been part of the team of moderators for the daily news program MDR aktuell since November 2014 . Since April 10, 2019, she has also hosted the magazine program "Exakt" on MDR television .

On September 1, 2019, Binder moderated the reporting on the state elections in Saxony and Brandenburg together with Jörg Schönenborn and Sascha Hingst and, on September 2, 2019, the broadcast ARD-Brennpunkt on the same topics in the first .
