Friedrich Moll

Friedrich Moll (born August 27, 1948 in Schwarzburg ; † August 28, 2018 in Berlin ) was a German journalist and television presenter .

Life

After moving to the Federal Republic of Germany and graduating from high school in Walsrode , Moll studied political science , economics , sociology and law in Bonn , Hamburg and Göttingen . In 1976 he was qualified as a social economist. After working as a print journalist with a focus on economics and social policy, he switched to television in 1980. He became an editor at Sender Free Berlin (SFB) , where he took over the moderation of the evening show from March 27, 1990 . He also presented the regional news program after the merger of his house broadcaster with Ostdeutscher Rundfunk Brandenburg (ORB) to form Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (rbb) .

After 17 years, Moll presented his last "Abendschau" show on August 31, 2007. He died in Berlin in August 2018, one day after his 70th birthday.
