Gerhard Lingelbach

Gerhard Lingelbach (born August 23, 1948 in Greiz ) is a German legal historian .

Lingelbach completed his law studies at the University of Leipzig in 1973 with the first state examination in law. In 1978 he became a doctor of law doctorate . He received his license to teach in 1982 and completed his habilitation in 1984 at the University of Jena , where he worked as a lecturer from 1985. In 1988 he became Professor of State and Legal History at the University of Jena, and in 1992 Full Professor. From 2013 to 2017 he taught as a visiting professor in China.
