Gerhard Müllenbach

Gerhard Müllenbach (born February 5, 1949 in Ludweiler ) is a German civil servant . From 1999 to 2009 he was State Secretary in the Saarland Ministry of the Interior and Sport .

biography

Müllenbach attended an advanced high school in Lebach from 1962 to 1967 and then began studying pedagogy . From 1968 to 1970 he served in the German Armed Forces, after which he joined the Saarland criminal police . Here he learned the profession of criminalist. He was a clerk in various areas of the criminal investigation department, continued his education in specialist courses and in 1987 became head of the state security department. Most recently, as head of the state headquarters for combating non-politically motivated crime, he was responsible for dealing with serious crime. From 1992 to 1999 he was deputy head of the Central Police Department in Saarbrücken .

Parallel to his professional activity, Müllenbach was a lecturer in crime statistics at the Saarland University of Applied Sciences from 1985 to 1998 . In addition, he was involved in the Bund Deutscher Kriminalbeamter (state chairman and deputy federal chairman). Since 1998 he has been state chairman of the White Ring for Saarland and since 2018 Deputy Federal Chairman of the White Ring.

On September 29, 1999 Müllenbach was appointed State Secretary in the Saarland Ministry of the Interior and Sport. He retired in November 2009.

Gerhard Müllenbach has been married since 1968, has been widowed since 2017 and has a son.
