Gerhard Neumann (born June 25, 1939 in Berlin ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and former member of the People's Chamber and the Bundestag .

Life

Neumann attended school in Thuringia and then did an apprenticeship as a chemical specialist . He then studied pedagogy and trained as a speech therapist at the Humboldt University in Berlin. From 1965 to 1989 he worked in the advice center for speech, voice and hearing impaired people in Gotha . He was a founding member of the SDP base group in Gotha in 1989 and was a member of the People's Chamber for them from March 18 to October 2, 1990. He then moved into the German Bundestag, to which he was a member until 2002.
