Gerhard Robert Walter von Coeckelberghe-Dützele pseudonym: Realis (born February 9, 1786 in Löwen , Austrian Netherlands , † July 5, 1857 in Maria Enzersdorf , Lower Austria ), was an Austrian civil servant and writer. The small aristocratic Coeckelberghe family fled to Austria from the French revolutionary troops in 1794, during the First Coalition War . The young Gerhard entered the civil service as an accountant in 1806 and served as such until 1843. He also published novellas and historical-topographical writings under the pseudonyms Severin and later Realis . The two-volume Curiosities and Memorabilia Lexicon of Vienna (1846) is considered to be his main work.
