Gerhard Spring
Gerhard Spring (* 1962 in Scheibbs ) is an Austrian artist and author.
Life
Spring started studying music at the age of 11 and has seen himself as an artist ever since. He, who first acquired his artistic skills at the Mozarteum and later at the Vienna University of Applied Sciences in the media art class with Peter Weibel , is mainly active in the areas of film editing , catalog production and typography . For some time, the computer specialist was on the road with Julius Deutschbauer as an artist duo.
Spring is also active as an author. His constant interest is in language images and visual languages. According to Spring, that would be the main artery for his interest in art. His publications include, among other things, double dialogues and the rhetoric of patterns . Among other things, he publishes at Czerninverlag and lives and works in Vienna.
