Gerhard von Loewenich

Gerhard von Loewenich (born February 18, 1929 in Nuremberg ; † August 9, 2017 ) was a German State Secretary .

Life

After graduating from high school, Gerhard von Loewenich studied law in Erlangen . He passed the two state exams in 1953 and 1957. After various activities in the judiciary and administration, etc. a. in the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior and as a research assistant at the Federal Constitutional Court , he moved to the Federal Ministry of the Interior in Bonn in 1966 .

Until the start of the social-liberal government in 1969, he worked in the ministerial office of the then Interior Minister Ernst Benda .

From 1982 to 1994 he was State Secretary in the then Federal Ministry of Construction . Loewenich was a member of the CDU. In 2013 he was honored for his 60 years membership.
