Lowest known toxic dose
The lowest known toxic dose (English. Toxic dose low , TD Lo ) indicates the lowest known toxic dose for a chemical compound or a mixture of substances that causes a toxic or other harmful effect after use on humans or animals . It is usually given in milligrams of the toxic substance per kilogram of body mass (mg / kg) and depends crucially on the type of absorption ( oral , inhalative, i.e. through breathing , dermal, through skin contact, intravenous , intramuscular or intraperitoneal , i.e. through the abdominal cavity ) from.
