The German Tanker Shipping GmbH & Co. KG in Bremen is a German Tankreederei.

Companies

The company was founded on January 1st, 1998 by Emil Hartmann . Hartmann had been co-owner of the Carl Büttner tanker shipping company since 1971, the tribe of which parted at the end of 1997. German Tanker Shipping initially took over seven Büttner tankers in which Hartmann was involved. From the year 2000, the company put its own newbuildings in motion and today operates a fleet of almost 20 oil product tankers, some of which are owned and some are managed, with a load capacity of 2,000 to 46,000 tons (as of August 2014). All ships currently operated by the shipping company are double-hulled tankers and were built at the Lindenau shipyard in Kiel . The Seapike was the largest double-hull tanker built in Germany when it was delivered. The company employs around 26 people on land and around 400 seafarers on board the fleet.
