Germane (group of substances)

As Germane are germanium referred hydrogens. The structure of the Germane corresponds formally to the silanes and the alkanes .

The general sum formula is Ge n H 2n + 2 .

Monogerman

Monogerman (GeH 4 ) is the simplest chemical compound from the German group. It is a very reactive, toxic, easily decomposable and characteristically unpleasant smelling gas and is used in semiconductor technology.

Higher Teutons

Higher Germans like Digerman (Ge 2 H 6 ) have a higher melting point. They are also very unstable. The longest known German is Nonagerman (Ge 9 H 20 ).
