Germano Boettcher Sobrinho , (born March 14, 1911 in Rio de Janeiro , † June 9, 1977 ibid), was a Brazilian national football goalkeeper .
career
Germano started his career at Botafogo from Rio de Janeiro in 1928 at the age of seventeen . From 1930 he was ousted by Roberto Gomes Pedrosa and was only used as a reserve goalkeeper. The same constellation arose for the soccer World Cup in 1934 and the subsequent friendly game trip, to which both goalkeepers were invited. Pedrosa played two official and eighteen unofficial internationals, while Germano was only substituted on in one unofficial game. This was on July 12, 1934 against a selection team of players from Belenenses Lisbon and Benfica Lisbon . The result was 4: 2. After this trip he did not go back to Botafogo, but moved to rival CR Flamengo for one more season.
