Gert J. Steyn

Gert Jacobus Steyn (born March 5, 1962 ) is a South African Protestant theologian .

Life

After graduating from high school in Biblical Studies and Biology in 1980 at the Hoërskool Schoonspruit , he acquired the Baccalaureus Artium (1981–1983) Greek and Hebrew at the University of Pretoria , the Baccalaureus Artium (Honores) (1984–1985) Greek in Pretoria , the Baccalaureus Divinitatis Theology ( 1984–1986) (major: New Testament), the Magister Artium (1986–1987) Greek University of Pretoria, the Doctor Divinitatis (1988–1994) New Testament University of Pretoria and the Doctor Litterarum (2006–2008) Biblical Language at the Stellenbosch University . From 2006 to 2017 he was Professor of New Testament in Pretoria. Since 2017 he has been teaching as professor for New Testament exegesis and theology at the TH Ewersbach .
