Gertrud Grauer

Gertrud Grauer (born March 14, 1912 ; † unknown) was a German politician ( SED ) and DFD functionary. She was a candidate for the Central Committee of the SED and chairwoman of the DFD district association Cottbus .

Life

Grauer attended elementary school and then worked as a worker. In 1927 she joined the Rote Falken , in 1928 the Socialist Workers' Youth and in 1931 the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD).

In 1946 she became a member of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED) and worked in the local women's committee in Hoyerswerda . In 1947 she joined the Democratic Women's Association of Germany (DFD) and in March 1950 was elected first chairman of the DFD's Hoyerswerda district association . From 1953 she was first chairwoman of the council of the Hoyerswerda district, from 1958 to 1960 first deputy chairwoman of the council of the Cottbus district . From 1958 to 1967 she was a member of the SED district leadership in Cottbus. She was also a member of the Cottbus District Parliament . From 1960 to 1967 Grauer was first chairwoman of the DFD district association Cottbus (successor to Alma Maey ). She then worked as an employee at the Cottbus District Council.

Grauer was a candidate for the SED Central Committee from April 1954 (until 1963) and from February 1962 a member of the Women's Commission at the Politburo of the SED Central Committee .
