The rules of procedure for the joint committee ( GemAusGO ) are issued on the basis of Art. 53a GG ; it is to be decided by the Bundestag and requires the consent of the Bundesrat . It is published in the Federal Law Gazette .
The GemAusGO consists of two parts. The first section contains rules on composition and convening, the second section deals with procedural provisions. In doing so, Section 18 (1) GemAusGO declares the provisions of the Bundestag 's rules of procedure for the procedure in the Bundestag to be applicable accordingly for the procedure of the committee .
