Protected landscape component hedges (Bödefeld)

The protected landscape component of hedges with a size of 1.74 hectares is located northeast of Bödefeld in the urban area of Schmallenberg . The area was designated as a protected landscape component (LB) in 1993 with the Schmallenberg Southeast landscape plan by the district council of the Hochsauerlandkreis . The LB consists of five sub-areas and is surrounded by grassland in the Bödefelder Mulde nature reserve .

Area description

The protected landscape component hedges consists of hedges on the mountainside of Buchhagen . The hedges run, partly on both sides, along paths or embankments that are parallel to the height lines. A hedge also runs down the slope in a watery gully. The hedges shape the landscape. In the hedges bushes breeders breed as the red-backed shrike .

Protection purpose

Protected object, which, according to the landscape plan, clearly differs in its independent character from the surrounding forest and field landscape.
