In addition to these two, the LB covers the third largest pond, located directly south of the property, which is almost completely silted up. Like the eastern still water, it is surrounded by well-tended pollard willows; the western pond is surrounded by sparse trees. Otherwise, the immediate environment serves i. W. as horse pasture. All ponds included here are of considerable importance as amphibian spawning grounds; In addition, with the surrounding trees, they form a landscape-defining environment for the manor complex in the outdoor area. "

The landscape plan lists as a development measure that the pollarded willows in the area of the two eastern ponds are to be snowed periodically, whereby the interval between the cutting measures should not exceed eight years.

Protection purpose

The designation as LB took place:

  • to maintain, develop or restore the efficiency and functionality of the ecosystem,
  • for revitalizing, structuring or maintaining the townscape and landscape and
  • to ward off harmful effects.

Like the other LBs in the landscape plan area, the LB represents an outstanding habitat for the ecological efficiency of the natural balance. It also serves as an element that structures and animates the landscape. The designation serves to ward off real or potential harmful effects through the removal of plants, relief or water changes, etc.
