Society for the Spiritual Life of Persia

The Society for the Spiritual Life of Persia is a non-profit cultural association that was founded in 1997 in Bonn , where its headquarters are still located today. There are further branches in Berlin , Schwerin , Zurich , Vienna , Tehran and Shiraz .

The concern of the society is to preserve and convey the ancient Persian culture , as well as to promote the active cultural dialogue between Germany and Iran . Furthermore, with its two libraries , the society offers access to a total of approx. 35,000 Persian and approx. 9,000 European books, an archive with all Persian publications that have appeared outside of Iran, as well as numerous magazines and microfilms. The company's field of activity also includes the organization and implementation of lectures, as well as the collection and translation of scientific texts. Another project of the association is the establishment and support of the German-oriented Ehsan Ruzbehan University in Shiraz.

Iranzamin

The society is the publisher of the German-language culture magazine Iranzamin , which reports on cultural, economic or sociological topics related to the time-honored Persia, Iran and Germany as well as the interaction between the two countries.
