The socketed mast 5 in Sindelfingen

The EnBW plant 212 is a former seven-mast, now four-mast, two-circuit 110 kV three-phase line from the Sindelfingen substation to the Daimler AG substation .

Five of the overhead line masts ( lattice masts designed as Danube masts ) were encased several meters high with concrete at the instigation of Daimler-Benz (today Daimler AG), because at the time there was fear of saw attacks by anti-industrial demonstrators and this was to be prevented. For those responsible at the energy supply company EVS at the time (now part of EnBW AG), setting the mast feet of masts 1 to 5 in concrete was the most suitable measure. The last two masts of this line were not sheathed, but surrounded by a fence equipped with motion detectors.

Since the substation was relocated in 1994, the fifth mast of this line - a support mast - was replaced by a terminal mast at Pentecost 1994 , which served as a guy mast until the old substation was shut down . The old substation was shut down at the beginning of 1995. Together with masts 6 and 7, it was dismantled to make space for the new research and development center.

The fourth mast of the system is now the end mast in the industrial area on Mittelpfad.
