Ghartschak ( Persian قرچک, DMG Qarčak , also known as Qartschak or Qareh Tschak ) is a city in northern Iran.
It is the capital of the administrative district (pers. Bachsch ) Ghartschak in the province of Tehran . The 2006 census recorded 42,508 families and a total of 173,832 residents in the city. Ghartschak is located about 35 kilometers from Tehran, the center of the province.
