Gheorghii Cernei
Gheorghii Cernei (born April 13, 1990 ) is a Romanian weightlifter of Moldovan origin.
Career
Cernei started his career for the Republic of Moldova and was junior runner-up in the snatch world championship in 2010. In 2011 he became the U23 European champion. In the same year he also took part in the Universiade , where he came fourth in the class up to 85 kg. At the European Championships in 2012 , he finished eighth. In 2013 he was third at the Universiade . However, he was tested positive for dehydrochloromethyltestosterone during the doping control and was banned for two years. After his suspension he started for Romania and finished twelfth at the 2015 World Championships .
