Giacomo Balzarini

Giacomo Balzarini (* 1968 ) is a Swiss manager . He has been Chief Financial Officer (CFO) since 2007 and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PSP Swiss Property , one of the largest Swiss real estate companies, since 2017 . In 2015 he was elected Swiss CFO of the year.

education

Balzarini completed his business and economics studies in 1996 with a lic. oec. publ. at the University of Zurich and in 2002 earned an MBA from the University of Chicago (Ill., USA).

Career

From 1993 to 1996 Balzarini worked for the Swiss Bank Corporation in Zurich in the areas of corporate banking and business development. From 1997 to 2006 he worked for the Swiss Reinsurance Company in the areas of risk and project management, strategy development and asset management, most recently as Managing Director, responsible for building up the indirect, international real estate portfolio.

In addition to mandates in the group companies of PSP Swiss Property AG, Balzarini exercises the following functions and offices:  

  • Member of the Accounting & Reporting Committee of the European Public Real Estate Association (EPRA) and Chairman of the EPRA Best Practices Committee , Brussels.
