Giancarlo Minardi

Giancarlo Minardi (born September 18, 1947 in Faenza ) is the founder of the Italian Formula 1 team named after him Minardi .

Life

From 1985 to 2005 , Minardi's team started in Formula 1. During this time he discovered Giancarlo Fisichella , Jarno Trulli and Fernando Alonso . Before the start of the 2001 Formula 1 season , Minardi sold his team to the Australian Paul Stoddart .

He is married and has a son who also works in motorsport .
