Giannandrea Pecorelli

Giannandrea Pecorelli (born June 26, 1958 in Rome ) is an Italian television and film producer as well as a film director and screenwriter .

Life

Pecorelli graduated with a degree in literature and took directing courses at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia , where he graduated in 1985. The year before, he had already made a critically acclaimed debut as a director and screenwriter with Fuga senza fine over the leaden years of recent Italian history. But Pecorelli decided to work as a producer, where he worked from 1987 onwards for works by Felice Farina and Franco Piavoli . From 1990 to 1995 he led the "RCS Films & TV", with which he supervised a considerable number of interesting film and television productions ( Alone against the Mafia , seasons 5 + 6 ; Un cane sciolto ; Atlantide ; The Bartholomew Night , etc.). After a single other directorial excursion in 1996, the short film Animali notturni , he was with Raifiction from 1997 to 2000 , where he rearranged the channel structure and achieved great audience successes such as Più leggero non basta , the Incantesimo series and the series Un medico in famiglia .

In 2006 Pecorelli produced the great success Notte prima degli esami , later Questo piccolo grande amore and Bar Sport .
