Giara Garate (born May 10, 1996 ) is a Peruvian sprinter .

Athletic career

Giara Garate gained her first experience at international championships in 2018 at the U23 South American Championships in Cuenca , where she was eliminated in the 200-meter run with 25.44 s in the first round and with the Peruvian 4 x 100 meter relay in Came fourth for 46.34 s. The following year she took part in the South American Championships in Lima , where she finished fifth in the relay in 46.60 seconds. She then took part in the Pan American Games with the relay and did not finish there. In 2020, she finished eighth in the 60-meter run in 7.93 s at the South American Indoor Championships in Cochabamba, which was held for the first time .
