history
The Giat 20F2 cannon was developed by GIAT for the French Navy in the 1980s . It was supposed to replace the 20 mm Oerlikon cannon and is based on the 20 mm Tarasque machine cannon of the French Army , which is also known as the "Canon Mitrailleur 20 mm Mle 693".
