Giddha
Giddha ( Panjabi ਗਿੱਧਾ, giddhā ) is a folk dance that has its origins in Punjab , an area in northwest India and Pakistan . It is danced by women while men dance the bhangra . The giddha is often danced at weddings . The dance often gets by without instruments. The women clap their hands or hit spoons together to keep the rhythm, but sometimes small barrel drums ( dholak ) are also used.
