Building description

Function room

The single-storey structure was essentially built from half-timbered structures, the compartment consisting of a mixture of clay and straw. At its front is a wide arcade that gave the house its name. Behind it is the access via a wooden, rectangular door on the right. To the right of it is one and to the left of it two more rectangular windows. In the gable, which is also wooden, there is a small window slightly off-center to the left, and there are two further, much smaller openings on the left and right. On the left side of the façade there is another window in the front area, which roughly follows the proportions of the front openings; followed by two much smaller windows. The right-hand side is almost identical. Only two additional openings are built into the rear area. The back is closed except for a gate. The rear gable is constructed identically to the front gable. The simple gable roof is covered with reeds.

In the interior there is a central corridor that runs lengthways through the house. In some rooms the Heimatverein has exhibited a collection of household and economic equipment. The former taproom with a historic oven is available for celebrations and events. There is also a smoke kitchen .
