Giedrė Purvaneckienė

Giedrė Purvaneckienė (born March 8, 1945 in Kaunas , Lithuanian SSR ) is a Lithuanian semiconductor physicist, former politician, member of the Seimas .

Life

In 1963 after graduating from secondary school Salomėja Nėris Vilnius, she completed her diploma studies in 1968 at Vilniaus universitetas and in 1982 did her doctorate on Studentų tiriamųjų mokėjimų formavimas puslaidininkių fizikos specializacijos mokymo laboratorijoje . From 1968 to 1973 she was a research assistant at the Institute for Semiconductor Physics . From 2000 to 2004 she was a member of the Seimas . From 2006 to 2008 she was an advisor to the Prime Minister. Since 1995 she has been a lecturer at the Vilniaus universitetas .

Until 2015 she was deputy party leader of the LSDP , deputy of Algirdas Butkevičius .
