Giedrius Mozūraitis

Giedrius Mozūraitis (born October 2, 1978 in Kaunas ) is a Lithuanian administrative lawyer, politician and Deputy Minister of Justice of Lithuania .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1996 at the “Versmės” Middle School in Klaipėda , Mozūraitis completed a bachelor's degree in 1999 and a master’s degree in law at Lietuvos teisės universitetas in 2001 . As a doctoral student at the Chair of Biological Law, he wrote a dissertation on the subject of "Inviolability of the private life of patients : theoretical and practical aspects" (lit. "Pacientų privataus gyvenimo neliečiamumas: teoriniai ir Praktiniai aspektai"). He continued his education at the Center for Bioethics and Law at the University of Leuven in Belgium .

He was head of the sub-department for personnel and law firm affairs, then deputy director for law and personnel at the Lithuanian Oncology Center and, after reorganization, advisor to the director of the Oncology Institute of Vilniaus universitetas . From 2006 G. Mozūraitis worked as a lawyer in the 3rd Vilnius Law Office . From 2011 to 2012 he taught as a lecturer at the chair for civil and commercial law at the Mykolo Romerio universitetas . Mozūraitis participated as a member of the DP in the parliamentary elections in 2012 in the constituency of Kretinga .

As of January 30, 2013, he has been Deputy Minister of Justice Juozas Bernatonis in the Butkevičius cabinet . He was delegated by Darbo partija .

Mozūraitis is married. With his wife Julija he has children Monika, Edvardas and Izabelė.

He speaks English and Russian.
