Gilles Bouleau (born May 25, 1962 ) is a French television journalist. Since June 2012 he has moderated the Journal de 20 heures , the main news program on TF1 , on weekdays .

Gilles Bouleau is a graduate of the private journalism school Center de formation des journalistes de Paris and the prestigious social science institute Institut d'études politiques de Paris . In 1986 he won an award for young journalists and joined the editorial team of TF1. Between 1996 and 1999 he presented the morning magazine on the news channel LCI , a subsidiary of TF1. In June 2001 he was posted to London as a correspondent for TF1 , and four years later, in August 2005, he became a correspondent in Washington for five years.

In July 2011 he returned to Paris and, since Laurence Ferrari's resignation from May 2012, has presented the news at 8 p.m. , initially as an interim candidate and from June 4, 2012 as chief presenter.

Bouleau is married and has two daughters.
