Germany is a song by Leipziger a cappella - group The prince from their eighth studio album D .

Sebastian Krumbiegel (front man of the Prinzen) called the song a "controversial description of the state of our homeland". All in all, the group had a critical opinion that they would express quite simply and without a raised index finger and without a big moral club.

Germany was released in August 2001 as a single by Hansa / BMG Ariola Media GmbH . The maxi single contains three different versions of the title track as well as the song Nothing .

Music video

The music video starts with a close-up of a black-red-gold bucket . Bet that..? and Michael Schumacher are mentioned. Typically German attributes, such as the Alexanderplatz , cuckoo clocks , garden gnomes , beer , German Reich flag, logo of VW , BMW and Audi to follow. Even hooligans , the German order and cleanliness as well as the wars are portrayed as bad quirks Germany.
