Gilsdorf ( Luxembourg Gilsdref ) is a district of the Luxembourg municipality Bettendorf .

The place is in the valley of the Sauer on the south side of the river, which is spanned in place by a 90 meter long bridge. The railway line from Ettelbrück to Grevenmacher , which was closed at the beginning of the 1960s and where Gilsdorf had a stop, ran between the river and town . Gilsdorf is known for the high-quality sandstone that was quarried in numerous quarries. A number of well-known buildings were made from this sandstone, including the Villa Louvigny and the Adolphe Bridge in Luxembourg City .

On September 29, 2006, Prince Louis of Luxembourg married his girlfriend Tessy Anthony in the parish church of Gilsdorf.
