The Villa Louvigny is a building in the city park of Luxembourg City , located on the Allée Marconi , it was built in 1871 on the foundation walls of the log house of Fort Louvigny and served as a garden restaurant and ballroom. It was named after the builder of the fort, the fortress engineer Jean Charles Christophe Louvigny .

In 1932 the Compagnie Luxembourgeoise de Radiodiffusion (now RTL Group ) rented the villa before buying it in 1936. It served as the company headquarters and broadcasting station for the multilingual radio programs of Radio Luxembourg .

In the 1950s the building was expanded to include a concert and broadcasting hall and a striking eight-story tower.

In 1962 and 1966 the Grand Prix Eurovision de la Chanson was held in the Villa Louvigny.

In 1991 the station's administration and studios moved to a new broadcasting facility on Kirchberg , and the technical departments followed in 1996. Until the completion of the new Luxembourg Philharmonic in 2005, the broadcasting hall served as the concert hall of the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra (formerly RTL-Orchester), today the building houses the Ministry of Health of the Grand Duchy .
